It’s been a while. And then some, because I completely forgot to post here when I finished the song a couple of months ago. It originally saw the light of day in September. So I’m fixing that mistake now and writing a few lines. 

The production on this one was quite a new experience for me. I used Music Maker for the first time. It’s a software that lets you patchwork the song together, using small bits and pieces of recorded instruments. It also finally allowed me to record stuff using my MIDI keyboard. So there’s a lot of work that went into creating this song. The weak part is still the microphone quality. I just can’t get my voice to sound professional. I intend to fix that before the next song. New microphone should already be on its way to me. 

Needing four years to write and record a new piece of music … that’s just way too long. I hate that it once again took me such a huge amount of time. At the end of the day, it’s all about energy though. I often need mine focused on other things (staying alive and the like). And I’ve also raised my standards over the years. I’m not gonna let the excitement of having almost completed something get in the way of finetuning anymore. I’m quite happy with how this one turned out. I’m also quite happy with how the last two songs turned out. I’m getting better. And in the end, that’s worth something. 

I hope people will hear it. I hope it can get some likes on YouTube. I don’t think it will, but you never know. I hope there’s more to come. Until then, have fun with this one.
